UCATT members accept improved pay offer to end HTC crane dispute
After a 94% strike vote (on over 80% turnout) nearly 200 tower crane drivers took one day strike action at HTC Plant Ltd. and had a further 2 days planned. The second strike day was postponed when the company came back to the negotiating table. HTC and UCATT settled the dispute with a 3 year pay deal worth over 14% on basic rates. Bonus has been consolidated into basic pay and previous T&Cs have been reinstated.
