Post: Project Worker – Maternity Support Worker (MSW) project
Contract: Fixed Term Contract from April 2015 – March 2016.Secondments will be considered.
Hours: Full Time (35 Hours per Week)
Salary: £27,598pa (+ £4,712 London Weighting where applicable)
Location: Flexible, with London or Leeds used as an office base. Regular travel to London will be required.
We are looking for an individual with an interest and practical experience of matters relating to support workers (preferably in the maternity service) including an understanding of their learning needs.
The key purpose of the post will be to deliver against the RCM’s Maternity Support Worker (MSW) strategy, co-ordinating work on the recruitment and retention of MSWs, setting up and developing a new MSW advocate network, identifying and addressing learning needs of MSWs and developing the RCMs approach to increase the uptake of MSW apprenticeships in the maternity workplace.
